David Lee Brehm

David L. Brehm was born near San Antonio Texas during the month of November.  He decided to be a creative person while a student at St. Anthony’s College Prep School and received multiple College scholarships to attend Southwestern University in Georgetown Texas.  Brehm continued to devote much of his time to reading, music, and art,  but after two years decided to continue his college education at The University of North Texas.  Brehm graduated from UNT with a bachelors degree but later decided to pursue another degree in Computer Animation/Multimedia at the Art institute of Dallas.  Brehm graduated with honors at AID and was asked to stay on as an instructor.

Brehm worked as a full time instructor at AID for almost five years, then was offered a position as computer animator with DNA Productions in Irving, Texas.  While at DNA, he worked on several animated projects including the Academy Award nominated film “Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius,” and also “Olive, the Other Reindeer,” and “The Ant Bully.”  During his seven year stint at DNA, Brehm was promoted to Layout Supervisor and eventually to Layout Department Head.

DNA Productions decided to shut its doors in 2006, but Brehm was offered a terrific new position as the Creative Director for HKS VIZ at HKS, Inc.  The idea of working at an architectural firm was very different for Brehm, but it also opened up many new opportunities to explore his creative talents.  From his very first day at HKS, Brehm redefined himself as a Writer and Director of architectural visualization videos.  His client list grew to include several high profile organizations including the Dallas Cowboys, the Indianapolis Colts, the Ritz-Carlton, the Los Angeles Dodgers, Texas A&M, The University of Texas, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, and many others.

In 2008, Brehm and partners, decided to start their own company (http://www.bluelogicproductions.com) and Blue Logic, LLC was born.  This entrepreneurial endeavor allows Brehm to continue to write, produce and direct exceptional client videos, but also create unique and engaging intellectual properties such as the upcoming web series SCOUT SIX http://www.scoutsix.com/

Never one to stop moving, Brehm (and his lovely wife Stephanie) continue to write and produce original music, most evident with the release of their band’s (http://www.thebrehmsband.com/music) self titled debut album, THE BREHMS.

David currently writes as The Brehms Blogger for the band’s website blog, which can be found here on The Brehms web site:  http://www.thebrehmsband.com/blog
